A big meteorite crashed into Earth, changing the climatic conditions so dramatically that dinosaurs could not survive.
Ash and gas spewing from volcanoes suffocated many of the dinosaurs.
Diseases wiped out entire populations of dinosaurs.
Food chain imbalances lead to the starvation of the dinosaurs.

  3. The dinosaur extinction occurred about 65 million years ago. There are several theories put forward as to how it happened. These include Ice Age,Now and again, the earth cools into periods we call ice ages. As dinosaurs were thought to be cold blooded, it would have been hard for them to cope with such cold conditions. - Disease, Supernova, Climate Change, The Volcano Theory and The Asteroid theory.

  4. The dinosaurs were the first creatures on Earth. They became extinct about 65 million years ago. There are many theories as to how the dinosaurs became extinct.A large asteroid or comet collided with Earth about 65 million years ago. Scientists think that such a large collision would throw so much dust into the air that sunlight would not be able to shine and plants and animals would die. The dramatic changes in climate that resulted from this huge collision were too much for the dinosaurs. They were not able to survive.

  5. Sixty-five million years ago the last of the non-avian dinosaurs went extinct. So too did the giant mosasaurs and plesiosaurs in the seas and the pterosaurs in the skies. Plankton, the base of the ocean food chain, took a hard hit. Many families of brachiopods and sea sponges disappeared. The remaining hard-shelled ammonites vanished. Shark diversity shriveled. Most vegetation withered. In all, more than half of the world's species were obliterated.
